Coromandel is one of New Zealand’s most beautiful scenic regions – let Tairua Bus Company show you all the best spots with a trip on one of their Coromandel bus services.
Tairua
Tairua is a harbour town in the south of the Coromandel Peninsula. Tairua is made up of a lot of holiday homes, belonging to people who would like to make the most of the beautiful Tairua Harbour which provides a hazardous entrance to the Pacific Ocean.
On the other side of the harbour is Pauanui – a purpose-built holiday community with New Zealand’s first man-made housing waterway development.
Coromandel Town
Coromandel Town offers a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle and a wonderful array of arts, crafts and of course, beautiful scenery.
The town lies 75km east of Auckland city; however the windy road is 190km long which provides some spectacular views along the way.
Hot Water Beach
World famous for its natural hot water seeping through the sand. Dig your own spa pool at low tide and mix the sea water for an unforgettable experience!
Hahei and Cathedral Cove
Take a walk to one of the ‘must visit’ attractions of the Coromandel Peninsula, Cathedral Cove and its beautiful white sandy beaches.
On the other side of the hill (approx 1 hour walk) is the beautiful Hahei Beach and a New Zealand Marine Reserve, which is home to dolphins, fish, and plenty of sea birds.
Coroglen
Pay a visit to Coroglen – home of the famous Coroglen Tavern – a popular live music performance venue. Coroglen has a relaxed way of life and has a great community spirit with a popular Farmer’s Market on Sundays, and a community garden.
The Lost Spring
Have a relaxing day out in paradise at The Lost Spring – thermal hot pools and day spa! Take a comforting bath in the mineral hot pools, have a cocktail in the water, get a massage and have a gourmet dinner at the restaurant with a beautiful view.
